I love this outfit so much!! Older pieces from the 2000's and early 90's, check out this page for more inspo --> Mod. Vintage
I've spoken a lot about being active and doing things that require some movement and sweating, now I want to talk about clothing for it!
Partially just because I want to talk about clothes, but also to bring light to the fact that I can never find cute workout clothes or lounging clothes that feel appropriate to wear over it.
Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against a random sweater and sweatpants set from the closet, but I do love having one or two sets or just pieces of clothing that are GOOD quality, cute, and colorful.
Like I absolutely love that the cut of these pants matches with the slightly cropped arms of the sweater, it seems easy to move and stretch in instead of a sweat trap like some things I've seen recently.
I'm really over the thick bulky oversized sweatshirts that are also cropped, and everything is of course made with mostly polyester. There's absolutely nothing wrong with polyester clothing, sometimes some garments do need a blend with polyester, but when it's a 100% polyester piece I can't totally get behind it. And as someone with sensitive skin, sweating in polyester and deodorant mixing will absolutely leave rashes on me. It's occasional but I just don't want to deal with it at all. There's always going to be the big brands, but I'm always on the look out for new smaller brands that advertise as mostly cotton or other materials BLENDED with polyester.
I thought I found one recently: DND Activewear, but I have seen some comments about how they drop ship from Alibaba :( and it doesn't take too much looking to see that they most definitely do which is kind of disappointing.
I think honestly the most reliable clothes I have found for working out or athleisure have been from the thrift store or Depop, and creating this sort of 'timeless' look can honestly be achieved pretty easily; blending modern basics with older pieces with complementing colors and cut, but maintaining a unique design on its own.

Brands I've had the best luck with quality and design:
- Lululemon (tanktops + skirts)
- Adidas
- Northface (tanktops are the BEST)
- Patagonia (shorts and swimwear)
- Athleta
- Puma
- Nike
**By the way you should NEVER pay more than like 40 dollars max for any of these one something like Depop. Don't let people gouge you!!**
(well if you couldn't tell I like capris, damn.. but I think everyone looks good in them so email me if you disagree ig.)
